We have been loyal customers for many years, and I just picked up a birthday cake today. The woman who assisted me on the phone and processed my payment when I arrived really needs to improve her English skills. While she was helpful, friendly, and pleasant, it was quite challenging to place my order and understand what I was getting. Paying was also difficult, as she wasn't sure if she had processed my card and couldn't communicate clearly. I hope they see this and provide her with some support. The desserts were still fantastic, and the service was prompt as always.
I ordered a mixed fruit and cream cake from Ladyfingers Bakery in Oakland. and it was absolutely delicious! The cake was fresh, perfectly balanced with sweet cream and vibrant fruits, and it looked stunning. The team was super friendly and made the whole experience delightful. This review is long overdue! I've been visiting this place for 30 years, and a friend of mine used to work here. Make sure to try the strawberry charlotte—it's a must! Their croissant dogs, cookies, and just about anything on the menu are fantastic. They also make incredible cakes, including wedding cakes. You can always count on them for quality!
