While a bit pricey for a cup of tea, it is a common rate for most establishments in the Lake District. It is a lovely spot to seek shelter from the weather for a while. I revisited recently for dinner and was impressed with the delicious food and generous portions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive.
This spacious cafe offers free Wi-Fi and has a friendly staff, though there is no telephone service. The menu offers a variety of dishes to choose from. We ordered the burger, loaded baked potato, and sponge cake. Overall, everything was delicious except for the overly sugary cake.
We had some coffee and ice-cream after a long walk in the woods. Variety of flavour options in ice-creams. It was busy when we got there and couldn't find a table inside as part of the cafe was blocked for dinner time. However, outside seating was good with beautiful lake view.
great food and coffee. fab view from bright, modern caffe. Why not eat between 11.30 and 12.00? how to create other places without this break? I think you should find out. but a beautiful place in a beautiful, nautical feeling building
