“Landgasthaus Augello” (not to be confused with La Bottega D'Augello) is a family run Italian restaurant in a big timber cottage, where when it is busy, it can be noisy – a bit like in an Italian family. The service is friendly and efficient and the dishes arrive swiftly, the plates always tastefully decorated with herbs or spices. The menu is rather typical, some say simple but the pizza and pasta dishes are all solid and good. Furthermore, Michele Augello offers weekly changing special dishes but all I really need is a pizza bread with garlic and a glass or two of Sole di Puglia. The salads are not really their strong point but the deserts are very good. A lot of value for the Euro.
