I recently learned that the longer I've been in DC, the less home sick I feel until I come across restaurants as Laos In Town.. where I loved it so much that I went back twice in three days. On the first day, I tried their northern noodle almost like a laksa but less tumeric and coconut flavor... but just as freakn delicious. My only regret? I decided to try it on a hot ass day because I realized how much I was craving it the moment I saw it on the menu. My boyfriend got their chicken fried rice and he devoured it. DEVOURED IT. He loved it so much he kept saying he wished he ordered it to go for lunch. So as the great girlfriend that I am, I tricked him into going back two days later... I ju...

good food. 3.5 stars because of everything else. a couple complaining: note: we were a large group of 8 and it took us to order a dae so that might have contributed to our moderate service when we were there, it was hot af. somehow miserable without c, which finally appeared at 7 or 8 o'clock when we were gone. the covers are really high, so it probably takes a lot of energy to cool. the service was dirty, probably because it was super busy and understated. hardly water was refilled, the dishes stacked. I couldn't even ask for the check. the availability of desserts was not known by all employees. we waited for the ice-cream to be told that they were outside, and they had to revise our bill....

One of my top picks in the neighborhood. Everything on the menu is a win. We appreciate the generous portions meant for sharing. The flavors are outstanding. We especially enjoyed the tofu with the perfectly balanced onions and scallions. The tofu curry was equally amazing. It’s ideal for large groups or a cozy date night. We always leave full with no leftovers. Huge thanks to the wonderful staff who never disappoint. Also, there are plenty of vegan options for vegans, vegetarians, and flexitarians alike.

I love Laotian food and think it's drastically underrated...similar to how Korean food became trendy during the past decade or so. This spot has a really nice vibe and decor. Staff was friendly enough; service was not great, but not terrible either. Average portion sizes given the price point, and overall, the food was good. Just good; similar to the service, it wasn't spectacular, but wasn't bad either. A nice place for a Happy Hour with a small group or possibly a date night. Book a table now

Three friends visited the restaurant on a Tuesday night around 8:30 PM. There was only street parking available. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a Moscow mule while my friends opted for beers. We shared a few appetizers: poh pia, grilled chicken hearts, and calamari, all of which were delicious! The service was a bit slow, but the staff was friendly. The entrees looked tempting, and I can't wait to come back and try them. Thank you!

Went here for lunch last week and the food was good. No reservation was needed but we did go right when they opened. The service was very good and the atmosphere was really modern and cool Got wine two appetizers and two mains with a bottle of wine and the total was around $120 which was not bad for the quality of food. They also had a good wine selection. The calamari was excellent and I would recommend highly. I would definitely return here.

The decor, the service, and the food were all fantastic. I had the best fried rice I've ever tasted, called khua khao, and the wok noodles were equally delicious. The servers were incredibly attentive and provided excellent recommendations. The only downside was that we had to wait for our delivery to arrive from the menu. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The food was excellent as was the service, mostly. While not enough to lose a star on it's own, the food did take a while to come out and the cocktail I received was way too small for the price. This was the first time I ordered in, but have ordered out quite a bit. I'd be willing to give it another go though Book a table now

This restaurant serves amazing authentic Lao and Thai dishes with a unique Isaan twist! The larb was delicious, although I would have liked it to be a little spicier. The crust was excellent, and the sun-dried beef was exceptional. The cocktails were also quite delightful. I would definitely return!
