En los lagares navetos, al igual que en los del resto de Asturias, existe una antigua tradición que es la de celebrar espichas. Nace cuando en los lagares tenían que corchar y colgaban una rama de laurel en la entrada y los vecinos se acercaban a degustar la nueva sidra directamente del tonel, lo que se llama espichar , y a cambio ayudaban en la tarea de corchar. Actualmente, en cualquier época del año se reúnen un grupo de amigos y acompañan la sidra con tortillas, huevos cocidos, chorizos a la sidra y otras exquisiteces de la gastronomía popular asturiana.
