Despite the encouragement to visit this restaurant by several people, we decided to try it because, given the opportunity, we would like to support small local companies, especially those who are home to us as a family. I wanted to try a new place in the area. Came for lunch. 3 tables were busy and service was fast and friendly. I ordered the lunch of rice, beans and pernil. The food was good, but there was no taste. I also order a can of dietary coke. With a 20% tip, the bill was exactly $22.38, which I overpriced for the amount and quality of the food I got. Joey says I'll try other places Next night I tried Ven Pa 'ca in Palm Bay. The food, also Puerto Rican cuisine, was delicious, larger portions and a much better price. Well if your a new york rican looking for that real ?? food. This is not the place. The food isn't bad. Besides being way over priced, for the very little portion they give. They cater to more of blankito. Taste buds. Yellow rice isn't Yellow. The chicken is barely seasoned. And did I mention a very very small portion for the price. More like kid size. My search for real Spanish food continues. At about $20 bucks a plate.
That was the best Latin food we ever had! We used to live in Tampa and got Pernil plates in different places, but that was the best. So juicy, so tasteful, even the simple rice I ordered my 3 years old was tasteful and delicious. We will make this a regular lunch stop every time in the city!
