This Gasthaus at the Teichalpe is located in a quiet area right at a beautiful lake. It is a popular stop for hikers, both in summer and winter. The menu is fairly standard, heavy on meats with a small selection for vegetarians. We had beef...soup with meat strudel; roast pork with dumplings and sauerkraut; spinach strudel with feta cheese and salad. The quality of food is very good, the portion sizes are huge and prices are reasonable with most main dishes in the range. Right at the restaurant starts a really very recommandable walk through the swamp of the Teichalm where you can enjoy great scenery and eg rare orchids like the Schwarzblauer Sumpfstern The venue itself is a rather bleak touristy version of an Almhütte the same is...true for the food and service. Prices are reasonable though. Ah, and one more positive feature: the children's playground is great!
