We booked a room (which was modern, quirky and lovely), with dinner on our way to Montpellier and again 2 weeks later on our way back. Nothing fancy, but the food was incredible. The chef/owner suggested that I have the sweet bread which I thought would be disgusting. He said that if I didn't like it, I could have anything I wanted free of charge. Well, did I like it........ I asked for seconds! On our return to England we were held up in traffic and missed our booking for 4:00 dinner. We kept in contact with the owner until 8:30 to say we were further delayed and to just leave the back door open so we access our room. We found this restaurant while looking for a local restaurant when we were staying nearby. We were made very welcome and Manuel, the chef, personally came to the table to explain his dishes to us. One of our party was a vegetarian and he carefully selected dishes for her which she really enjoyed. The menu is changed regularly - each season - with other dishes changed each month so there is always a variety to chose. The service was great and the food fantastic. We were a group of 6 and we all tried different dishes and no-one was disappointed. We will be returning next time we are in the area and would definitely recommend this restaurant.

A nice restaurant with superb food and small wine list, at a very moderate price range .The 48 hour spoon-tender stewed beef with perfectly cooked vegetables ,the Aubrac filet with portosauce, the desert liquid caramel filled chocolate cake, truly an opera, the perfect balance of strawberries, basil and lemon, a late summer breeze. The rooms perfect. A marvelous gem to stop over. 5 of 5 stars.

We chose al la carte (but pickled off the set menu as well). All courses were lovely and the beef was great. A really nice restaurant with great staff - nice and friendly. We also stayed the night in their hotel, which was also really good. Well recommends on both counts.
