We arrived in Dieppe, found the place full of cars, so we headed out of town to find a place to stay. Once accomplished, we retraced our path to L'Auberge du Relais on the innkeeper's recommendation and we were seated without delay even though we...had no reservation. The dinner was every bit as good as the exterior suggested it would be. A very appealing menu selection, and a very nice wine list. It was one of the nicest meals we had on our trip through Northern France. Following or arrival, the place filled up pretty quickly, so be aware. Parking is ample for the number of seats inside. The prices are mid range, very fair I thought.
Dinner for 2 adults and 2 children - food was wonderful, wine delicious and service friendly and prompt, despite the place being full and us not having booked a table. Steak was amazing and beautifully cooked, duck was incredibly tender. Children had fish which was really fresh (although they were a little disappointed that there was no chicken as advertised). Apple tarts and crepes for pudding were surprisingly light and very tasty. Will be going back!
We arrived very late on Sunday hoping for some lunch before catching the evening ferry from Dieppe. The team at L'Auberge du Relais couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating - finding us a table and serving up delicious moules frites, salads etc followed by lovely desserts and coffee - all without rushing us, despite the fact it was nearly 5.00pm by the time we came to pay the bill. Couldn't recommend L'Auberge du Relais more highly.
the auberge du relais is located near the center of a beautiful small village and offers a large, local normandie cuisine with a series of price-fixed menus. there is a good choice of dressing, meat and vegetarian options, and the service was very friendly and efficient. we sat. outside for the first two courses in a beautiful garden area and then offered the opportunity to move for our dessert when it began to get a bit cool. a great sound.

a beautiful village close to the staircase so convenient for the ferry to home and a good place to start or finish a holiday on a high note. this beautiful restaurant, recommended by our host, was very busy, so it is good to book. the fixed price menu was very...appropriate and the quality excellent. if everything was too big! service was friendly and attentive. we would definitely return to varengeville and to this beautiful restaurant.
this restaurant near the pier in Varengeville-sur mer has provided during our trip an excellent meal to two separate occasions. a fair price for a set menu and good eating and good ambiente. it is well supported by local mules, even with the week that is...always a good sign and with the menu on 26 euros it represents good value.
the atmosphere is different due to the problems of kovid 19 and social disintegration. service and eating were excellent. we could eat here only twice, as they were closed for two days. the seafoods were excellent, and in the round everything was great, including the carafe red wine.
Great mussels gratin and amazing camembert flavored mussels! Great service in a cosy environment. Only downside was the ile flottante as desert, clearly not fully home made which was a bit of a surprise. We ll be back and will just skip desert.

Close by le Bois de Moutiers and on the main road, so we stumbled upon it. Very pretty building and charming interior. We were lucky to get the last table and enjoyed a delicious meal, with excellent service, even though it was a busy day.
