"We stayed 2 nights in L'Auberge Provencale in room 5, a really nice room over the terrace and the city with magnificent views. (I think this is one of the newly renovated rooms and not all rooms are the same. It was very...warm when we visited and the air conditioning was not very effective. But it helped remove the plastic mattress cover. We ate both nights in the restaurant and it was very good. Sospel is a pretty quiet city and about 5 minutes walk down hill, a little longer to return over the very old paved steps. At the time of our visit the hotel was a 2 star, but I would definitely be our room well above this."

We stayed 2 nights at L'Auberge Provencale in room 5, a really lovely room over looking the terrace and the town with superb views. (I believe this to be one of the newly refurbished room and not all rooms are the same.) It was very warm when we visited and the air conditioning wasnt very effective. But it did help to take off the plastic mattress cover. We ate both nights in the restaurant and it was very good. Sospel is a pretty little quiet town and about 5 mins walk down hill, slightly longer to return via the very old cobbled steps. At the time of our visit the hotel was a 2 star but I would definitely grade our room well above this.
