The food here is good. I had the menu du jour: creamed mushrooms in a pastry shell, steak with stewed shallot sauce and fries, and cheese+salad for dessert. We had coffee which they brought before the meal along with a carafe of water that we asked for. We ordered in basic French, but the waiters know enough English and were taking orders and helping other non-French speakers in English. It was a Sunday night and we were getting desperate to find a place that was open. I will say the food was good, but I could hope the chef finds another place to work. After pushing the aperitif menu (no single glasses of wine to be seen here), the main menu came. We had the set menu, and we were happy with that. After nearly 3 weeks in France so far, this was the 1st place we encountered that wine could only be ordered by the whole bottle. A strange and obviously drunk staff member, who I decided was the owner, wandered about being overly familiar with guests and clearing tables a bit.
