the place is very charming . on the ground floor there are dining room for fine food and also a place they called a bistro. but above is where private dinning comes. we had the room for two. There is a room for 4 and one for 12. old fashioed and antique toys cars and billiard table. we had the tasting dinner that is from this world. my husband, who doesn't care about lamb, thought it was good and tasted like steak. Service was great and owner plus cook came to say hello. he spoke perfectly English and everything went well, the only dish I didn't like was the Ricotta racioli and my husband liked the duck godfather I liked. I had a very good dinner with a group of colleagues at a business event in lay’s loft. the building was completely renovated by an abandoned factory, inside you will find an interesting mix of styles and tons of antiques collected by the very nice owners. we booked a separate room for a private event, the room contained a lamborghini countach and a 400 (yes, both indoors parked), strange, but really impressive. the eating itself is also a mixture of different styles, from Italian ravioli with tomatenessence to a rather German cablejaufilet with green spade. whether the price corresponded to the ambiente, the service and the quality of the food, I cannot say.

Unfortunately, the waiters did not serve brot to fish, which really missed. second there was a parmesans soup followed by a wonderful piece beef. the dinner ended with a kind of cake that was delicious and beautifully decorated. thanks to the kitchen team. the service was somewhat slow and inattentive. therefore only 4 points.

Es gibt nicht genügend Sterne, um das Lay's Loft zu bewerten! Wir hatten eine Feier dort, die weder mit einem Menü noch mit dem Service oder den Mitarbeiter/innen zu überbieten ist! Die sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, das spannende Interieur, das aufmerksame Personal und das absolut köstliche Essen haben diesen Tag für uns zu dem Highlight des Jahres gemacht. Vielen Dank Familie Lay!
Danke liebe Angela und liebe Bine. Wir waren letzten Freitag eure Gäste und haben mit dem Brautpaar zusammen, wunderbare Stunden bei euch verbracht. this is not a restaurant, it is an experience. the old candle factory has been carefully restored and is very eclectic. the old cars of the owner contribute to the atmosphere. eating was good, the personal friendly. very good for their private events, as there are many private dining rooms in different sizes!
