We were walking along the Loire, looking for somewhere to lunch, heading for a different restaurant when we came across Le 1 . It looked swish, and full, and it was raining so we chanced our luck. The maitre d' was charming and accommodating we had to wait about 15 mins, we were lucky for a restaurant of this class. In future I would definitely book. The kitchen, visible from the restaurant was buzzing, the waitstaff were attentive, and the atmosphere chic. We both had the plat du jour fish which was plated and presented as beautifully as the à la carte dishes flying past always a good sign. Delicious. In Nantes, I would head here again.
We visited Le 1 on our third night on a family break in Nantes. After google translating the menu we ended up eating a selection of tapas mini chorizo donuts and small cubes a highlight then the cote de beouf for 2, a guinea fowl fricasse and scallops with black rice parcels and a delicious buttery sauce. All really good. We were too full for puddings this being the 3rd night of our Nantes culinary adventure! Great view of the sun setting over the river and a welcome change of scene from Nantes centre being on the ile.
Very good service and drinks. The food is to die for. Very good value for money! And a wonderful view to the Loire River the icing on the cake.
Nice restaurant with open kitchen, we took lunch. It was served quickly and the food was excellent. Price was correct
