The Trois Couronnes in Vevey Where Charlie Chaplin settled) along lake Geneva, is one of the beautifully updated 19th Century Old Dames hotels with the usual long list of who is who who stayed there Dostoievski, Gary Cooper etc etc etc.For us who live not too far away for a few months per year, the great attraction is their restaurant with a wonderful terrace overlooking the unmatched view of lake Geneva and the French Alps beyond. Ich hielt in Vevey Hoffnung auf einen Sonntag Nachmittag einem Platz zum essen zu finden. Alles war geschlossen in der Stadt außer für die großen Hotels, so dass wir auf der Terrasse des Hotel des Trois COURONNES gegessen haben. Der Service war langsam, aber sie haben die falsche Bestellung, und es war völlig überteuert für das, was es war. Eine einfache Hamburger (eines der einzigen Auswahl an der Bar Menu es war 3:00 Uhr) war 29 Euro! Der Croque Monsieur war eher wie eine riesige Schinken und Käse Tee Sandwich. the large and airy terrace, suitable with large sunshades shaded, was a beautiful environment for my high-time day. the view over the lake and the mountain was, as always, spectacular. the service was attentive, friendly, but not overwhelming and helpful. the lunch menu was...not huge, but there was something for everyone. it was also nice to get warm rolls with butter that were excellent before our starters. the portions were great, I had the carpaccio and my guest had the eier “Fermier” followed by linguine and filet de perche. the wine selection was good, as was the dessert/cass selection. I'm coming back in a definitiw!

Wir hatten ein High Tea gibt es vor das Hotel zu verlassen. Wir bestellten ein Tatar Rindfleisch und ein paar Burger (ohne Speck wie das Hotel kein Schwein, im Auftrag der Eigentümer gibt es). Das Essen war sehr gut. Da die Bar voll war, war der Service allerdings ein wenig langsam. Aber wenn man solch einen Blick, wen kümmert das schon! Und im Sommer verbringen einige Zeit auf der Terrasse muss!Wir freuen uns schon auf Sie bald wieder!
Disappointed, despite a sumptuous terrace and friendly but unprofessional service. Indeed, waiting 15 minutes to receive the red, at the end of your main course is damaging. Otherwise, the meal was ok, nothing more, lack of audacity, a shame because there is everything to do well.
Wir hatten ein wundervolles Abendessen draußen mit Blick auf den See und genießen Blick auf die Berge. Das Personal war großartig und das Essen sehr lecker (Suppe zu Nüssen). Es ist teuer, aber so sind die Restaurants in der Gegend.
Had dinner twice during my stay and I was disappointed for the price of the food. The tapas are average and the main course nothing special. They should offer more simple choices like pastas and risottos or even a Club sandwish.

Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Trying desserts here is the must! We had a chance to have breakfasts here but also special dinner. Could recommend for sure
