Gevray is red wine central and there are plenty of fine wine tasting houses, so this cosy bar was a real find. It's a very typical French wine bar, the host was extremely friendly and although we only visited twice I'm sure we would have...been treated as locals with a visit or two more. A great atmosphere, some lovely wine (white! sorry) and numerous friendly smiles from the other patrons, a great place indeed

Went for a Sunday afternoon walk, on a hot day. Came across this bar on the centre of the village, I was made welcome as soon I walked in, the bar staff have limited English and I speak less French but with a lot of...hand waving a pint of beer was served. The beer, the surrounding and the hospitality was all very enjoyable

After a long morning walking up in the hills above the vineyards we headed into town and stumbled across this restaurant. It was lovely sat outside watching the world go by. The staff were friendly and the service OK. We just had a snack and...a beer (we decided it was too hot for wine.. and the food was good.

We came here for a simple charcuterie and cheese with wine and had a great time. Mathieu was great and took care to ensure everything was good. This village town is charming and Le Bar a Vins is perfect while staying in town or nearby.
