"Took the formulae of mussels linguine and creme brulee. The mussels were hard to find but the dessert was reasonable considering the price of just 15 euros per person. The price of 11 euros for the 250cl pichet of rose wine was, on the other hand, far too much. There are plenty of better places around Menton."

A very welcoming, charming waiter greeted us as we looked at the menu outside. All looked hopeful, however the meat dish served to my friend was too tough to eat so he sent it back. Another meal was provided but was also inedible, full of gristle and not cooked properly. Very disappointing. My meal was OK. My friend was left feeling hungry and angry at having to pay for an inedible meal, but the waiter (who said he was the manager) refused to remove it from the bill. We won't chance going somewhere that is not recommended again. A pity, because the other young waiter working there was lovely, but it really is all about the food guys.

Lunch two days ago. Beautiful location, everything else awful. “Homemade “ lasagne must have been made by someone who lives in a factory. Seafood and pasta dish was mostly plain pasta with a few bits of ropey seafood on top. Couple on next table were struggling to cut their steaks nevermind chew them. Bog standard plonk at 7 euros a glass? The menus are actually tablets so it’s virtually impossible to read in sunlight. Thats why I didn’t spot the comedy wine prices. This bunch of monkeys don’t deserve to be in business. All they have is location. Avoid like the plague!

Having just arrived from a cloudy GB the thought of of a sunny lunch in one the most beautiful squares in Menton was to hard to resist. Yes like other reviewers we remember it as La Belico, a French gem. Now the pushy salesman from Le Lido opposite seems to have total control over both restaurants. The amateurish staff bring all the food over from opposite as well. There is no kitchen. The food was indifferent with the prices on the high side.

Arrived in this lovely sunny square and thought we had struck gold! Once you had been roped in by the meeter greeters that was the last you ever saw of any customer service! Lasagne out of a packet, tasteless pasta with over cooked mussels and undercooked langoustine! Glasses of wine at 7 euros each! Terrible restaurant in a beautiful setting!
