If you come to Provence for its laidback village cafes, its lazy lunches outdoors and its generous food, The Bistrot de Venterol is a destination for you! Every year I return for more... Today I called late to ask if lunch was still possible and was glad it was! I drove up the narrow street and parked my car on the small plaza where customers sat in the dappled shade of old plane trees, leisurely finishing their meal. The two sisters owning and running the Bistrot welcomed us in the best ways, like they do, and we settled happily around a ramekin of tasty local olives. we arrived at the bistro at 12.45 in time for lunch, there were 14 people outside eating in the square. we sat down, the waiter repeatedly walked past us and ignored us, eventually it fell to my girlfriend to ask why he had not come to out table( by this time we had been sitting there for 15 minutes) his reply was that he was busy and couldn't accommodate any more customers. Then WTF did he not tell us when he first saw us there ???? bad service altogether. The food might be good, but when the waiter is a crass French plebeian its sort of immaterial really
Nice place for lunch or dinner, but disappointed by the kitchen, the tuna and gamba entrance was correct even if it was difficult to distinguish the taste of fish and gambas! and the 3 main dishes better successful: tuna, cod back and cute net. On the other hand the desserts frankly bad: chocolate pie and very mediocre fruit (grass and fruits and panna cotta indigeste... we wonder with what fruit was done behind the scenes ... So the price quality ratio is poor... In short it could have been much better. Too bad
small snack, super friendly, a server (a real! listening super nice and dynamic, there was a little world .and show tact to a customer (from the impatient corner . I've been a waitress for 30 years and I recommend this nice little restaurant. Be cool ladies and gentlemen you are on holiday we have time, and for those who don't, when you're in a hurry signal it.

Very nice surprise this restaurant found unexpectedly. The place is very beautiful, the food is fresh and cooked home. The manager is friendly and makes you comfortable. Really great as finding. We'll be back.
