we went after a visit in the castle of meillant to lunch with friends. the outer does not seem inviting and the interieur is quite simple. Selecting were 2 different menus in which they could choose either Starter main, main dessert or all three. we went for the huh that was excellent, served in a creamy sauce along with a beautiful beside dish with courgettes, garlic and quinoa. this was accompanied with fresh riders who were also great. portions were not super large, but more than enough to feel satisfied. we had the local office militants weeping to drink. the prices were 13.5 euro for the 2 out 3 menu and 4 euro per glass wine. they should really go here if they are looking for decent ea...

Made a reservation the morning prior for a what we hoped would be a typical country Sunday lunch after visiting the Abbaye de Noirlac (definitely worth the visit). Arrived to find a note taped to the locked door of the dark restaurant that it was closed due to a catering job! It would have taken 10 seconds to call to inform us so that we could have made other plans; Sunday lunch in the country is difficult without reservations. Clearly the restaurant couldn't be bothered. Won't be trying again.

It's a small nice bistrot/restaurant. The offer two menus. We've got the starter after 50 min. 20 min later they served us the main course. And we were lucky cause we took over the table beside ours. On the other hand: The meals were very good. Creative a tasty.
