We arrived in Soissons rather late on a Friday evening. After checking into our hotel, we set out to find a restaurant and stumbled upon this place. They have a raised patio dining area along the sidewalk, and we took a table there. Shortly after we ordered, a 3-person band began to perform in French and English for the guests. We soon joined the locals tapping out the rhythm with our fingers and feet. When the food arrived, it was simple home cooking, but very good. The owner came over to our table (as he did the others) a couple of times during our visit to ask how everything was and he seemed genuinely concerned that his guests enjoyed their evening.
