Walking to the carpark after lunch at 8 Street, I saw the colourful cakes and macaroons in the glass cabinets at Le Bon Choix. As I approached to inspect these delectable offerings I hear a delightful "bonjour" from a French waitress behind me. Deciding I have time for a snack before meeting with friends for a fishing trip, I ask the waitress about their almond croissants. She replies enthusiastically saying they are among her favourites. Great! I recall Mr. Meatballs underwhelming almond croissant experience at another Le Bon Choix store last weekend. I walk over to the tray of almond croissants for a careful inspection. Satisfied there were no "zombie" almond croissants in the tray I hung...

Le Bon Choix Queen Street was spacious, offering both inside and outside seatings. It has a glass case right beside the cashier that displays all the visually appetizing cakes.<br/ <br/ For the sweets, I ordered the Eclair, Tiramisu, and Miroula. All of them looks pretty and tasted great; it had the right amount of sweetness. However, the cakes did leave a heavy aftertaste, which was rather unpleasant.<br/ <br/ For the savoury, I tried the Mushroom Quiche and the Beef Meat Pie. Both had great texture; the crunchy and flaky outer layer, yet easy to cut. Taste-wise, they were okay, but not overwhelmingly amazing. <br/ <br/ Overall, a nice place to have quick bites and nicely decorated cakes. M...

This is the most Devine cafe filled with some many yummy sweets ! They have the freshest croissants and pastries so delicious and large in size too ! They have fresh, beautiful looking cakes in both large and mini sizes. So convenient to have the mini cakes for those who don't want a large one and instead of getting someone a muffin they can have an actual miniature cake to themselves. They also provide a Happy Birthday chocolate edible sign for $5 extra and give your cake in a cute little box. They also sell delicious macaroons in a variety of colours and flavours. <br/ <br/ We highly recommend this place for sweets or cakes or just a little sweet snack : Book a table now

After lunching in the City, Phuong Tran and I are seeking Dessert and Coffee. The cafes around Eagle Street are very quiet so we keep walking until we reach Le Bon Choix. <br/ <br/ I ask for a Cafe Latte and a Bamboleo dessert. Wait staff are cheery and service is fast. The Coffee is served hot and is full flavoured while this Mango, Passionfruit and Banana dessert is refreshing and delicious. Thank you guys!

I happened upon this one as I was passing through Garden City one day recently. Their pastries are much the same as the original outlet in the city (Queen St) but the service is more 'Australianised'; side serving of Ocker with your almond croissant? Also, the shopping centre atmosphere is not quite so cosmopolitan ... Verdict: same great product but prefer to go to the Queen St shop.

Busy place. Had to wait a while for water and dessert to be served. Desserts were not too sweet which is good. Price was a little on the high end but worth it. Looking forward to try almond croissant next as it looks good!

Don't let the kiosk style presentation or location deceive you, this is a good place to visit. It's a shame it doesn't have it's own store like Carindale, as it loses a bit character. Book a table now
