We discovered le Cabanon in May this year and were really thrilled. That time we were given a nicely decorated table in the front. Service and atmosphere were excellent, meal and wine were outstanding. The menu and suggestions gave us a varied choice So we...wondered why we had never visited the place before and were determined to put le Cabanon on our list, since we visit neighbouring Vidauban very regularly. This is a traditional small French restaurant with few tables inside with outside tables streetside. There is definite creativity while maintaining a sense of traditional fare. Although the waiter didn't speak English, he was extremely patient with us with a kind attitude towards visitors to...his country who didn't speak French. The food was well prepared and served in an unpretentious but beautiful setting. Prices were very reasonable for what we received that evening: a most memorable French Experience!
having a beautiful meal with friends and family is so important when they are on holiday. le cabanon supplies the food, wine and gas friendship to offer exactly that. we visited twice, first seven people, then five. We were all happy with eating. I think you can't make a wrong choice among the directed. the recommended wein was a good pairing with eating. the atmosphere was relaxed and not unusual.
we had read good reviews on the restaurant and so it went with excellent eating. the atmosphere was very nice and the service good and polite, although slow. the wee was good. eating was too little to say. with a lot of artificial preservatives/additives. the cream brûlée saved her call. not cheap.
