Wow what an exceptional lunch. We drove from north of Brive to enjoy the delights of a relaxing lunch. Food, service and ambience were fabulous. Thoroughly enjoyed the plat du jour (Chicken) and the filet steak Pavlova and panna Cotta. Quality was top class with...friendly and engaging service. If you enjoy good quality food well prepared and very well presented then you’ll love this place. We’ll visit again when we back in france from the uk in june, august and september. We also enjoyed the wine from the chateau about 2km away in Bru. We called in and bought a case of the cedre extra libre. Delightful.
A buccolic setting in the middle of the Cahors vineyard not to be missed! An effective restoration, I would not say simple because the dishes are very clearly worked with passion. A treat and a high price ratio that you are not ready to find elsewhere... But the most, a service as rarely had, a somewhat expedient welcome, but the lady who later served us was solar: smile, benevolence, humour, sympathy, short a true feast of humanity. Thank you for this very pleasant moment.
The place in the middle of the vineyards is beautiful, the menu offers dishes for all tastes, vegetarian products, fresh and local (even their own vegetable garden! , the dishes are very well presented, thanks to the cooks! Finally, thanks to the servers for their great friendliness and professionalism and their special mention to Mary for her good mood! We spent a good time then continue like that and thank you to the whole team! Don’t hesitate to stop if you’re here!
Cette vieille demeure du Lot est superbe avec sa cour intérieure très agréable, l'accueil est chaleureux, le service est impeccable.La cuisine est raffinée et originale.Nous aurions aimés un amuse bouche avec l'apéritif et des serviettes même si elles sont en papier mais de qualité et de taille supérieures.Ceci n'altère en rien notre jugement positif sur le restaurant mais pour ajouter encore un petit plus et décrocher la note maximale; à coup sûr nous reviendrons.

We have been going to Le Caillau since 2007, had some lovely meals for lunch or dinner, last night surpassed everything, starter sublime, the Pintarde excellent and the entrecôte steak something to die for. The best restaurant by far in the area and lots of...French dinners from Paris and other Departments of France, Belgium etc. Regards John Sue
There would be so much to say. a beautiful setting with a beautiful course. Our lunch in the course allowed us to spend a good time with our children. The meal was both original and perfectly executed with the kitchen...perfects (I repeat myself). So thank you for your welcome and for this delicious moment.
