After reading positive reviews we went to eat here and chose sirloin with bearnaise. It was the most expensive meal we had in Eguisheim and our first disappointment. The plate looked really good but the steak was like a tasteless chewing gum : other people who chose the same meal seemed also disappointed, it was a struggle to cut the meat and it needed extra salt too. Maybe other days the meat has been better.
We normally visit another restaurant in Eguisheim but on this day it was closed so we looked around and found this little restaurant tucked away in a shaded alley. We both chose the Sirloin, cooked rare, and it was so tender and went perfectly with the lovely sauce, carrots and new potatoes. We had excellent service from the staff and would definitely go back next time.
So glad we found this place. Be sure to book ahead. Not for nothing is it #1 in Eguisheim. Friendly accommodating service, excellent food, a nice ambience just right. Thoroughly recommended.
Dropped in for lunch and it was a good choice! Very good food and wine and we were lucky to get some live French music just next door.
