The restaurant at Le Chalet is recognised as one of the best among the limited number of restaurants in the area. Prices are on the chunky side, but for that you get great food, beautifully presented and served by competent staff. An unhurried evening meal for four came to €225 including apéritifs, only 1 glass of wine between us, and coffees/herb teas. Portions are plentiful without being overly large. We would go again without hesitation.
You’’ll find Le Chalet right in the middle of the old village of Gresse en Vercors. There’s plenty of parking space right across the road. We had dinner there on 2 consecutive nights. It was superb. Great food, traditional. An extensive winelist. Very friendly staff. Menu prices are reasonable but you can even choose a 3 course menu which leaves nothing to be desired for 20 euros. Hats off to Le Chalet.
We stopped here for lunch while passing through, and really enjoyed it. It was easy to find, had lots of parking, and it's tranquil outdoor area had a good mix of shade and sunshine. We ordered the beef with morels, the lamb and a chocolate dessert. All were excellent quality and nicely presented. Highly recommend!
A place we visit occasionally with family or friends it is in a charming setting Gresse village worth a drive from Grenoble A family house with warm welcome, very nice food a most pleasant and relaxing experience
