"I've eaten better elsewhere. Not the best Chinese cooking can offer but the staff are nice and the restaurant well decorated. All in all average food."

I write reviews of most places we visit on holiday and it just occurred to me that I have never rated our local and favourite restaurant. We have been going to this place for 12 years. The kids have always loved it. The food probably isn't the most sophisticated in the world but for a good, reasonably priced, reliable, family meal, you cannot beat it. The service is friendly and very efficient. My advice is to order less than you think you need because extra dishes can be ordered, and delivered, very quickly. Lunch time menus are good value in the 12 euro range for 3 courses. The owner normally presents the younger children a small gift when they leave.

Restaurant is very easy to find with a large parking across the street. Closed on Tuesday, but surprisingly almost full on Monday, which is always a good sign and provides a good atmosphere on top of the nice decoration. Our meal was brought quickly, especially the noddles ordered for the children. The food was good, and the price very reasonable. Cherry on the cake, with the bill, the children received a present and the adults a small glass of sake. This type of attention makes me return.

We visited this establishment on Christmas Eve .We had a warm welcome and an English menu was given straight away. We had duck in a wok with vegetable and noodles A jolly time was had by all . Of course it WAS rather different from the majority of English hi street Chinese establishments but we expected that some items like fat choi might be difficult to obtain in France .The friendly welcome was markedly different from some London venues.

This restaurant is cooking the food upon order ! The owners have invested in hiring real cooks in the kitchen. The result is stunning : freshly prepared dishes, no such thing happens in traditional corner-of-the-street asian restaurant that we know of. As they are very welcoming, the whole experience is what it should be : no regrets when the bill comes ! This review is based on a dozen visits over six months.
