Le Chauve Sourit has a gorgeous situation up above Cabrieres. The new hedge/ fence does obscure the previously open view across to the Alpilles but gives a more intimate feel to the lovely outdoor space - there is indoor space for bad weather days.This year, I visited several times with different friends and each evening was delightful. A great July 14th celebration - we were serenaded by 3 local lasses doing wonderful 50's numbers with clothes to match. Another night we had a keyboard and base duo - Thursday nights are jazz nights - and really good.Add to that a warm welcome and a good variety of reasonably priced good food, generous portions (suggest you share starter salad - the warm goat...
