There being so many places to eat in Lille and it being a Sunday night with quite a few closed our choices were narrowed. Fortunately one of the potential places to visit on our list was this restaurant. We entered at about 20:15 and it appeared we may have been the only people there, we were taken upstairs to the first floor to find a family already seated. The menu was good with a variety of local French and Flemish dishes. There was a small mix up in the ordering where my beef steak in a béarnaise source turned out to be the local beef in ale Flemish carbonnade. I was so glad there was a mixup as this dish was truly magnificent simple yet delicious served with chips and a side salad could...
I'm not advising this place to anyone. Disgusting service, the waiters are rude and don't care about costumers. Indian manager is very unprofessional. Cannot control the situation and prefer to run away.I order the meat. Obviously, I know how meat should be taste like. So, the waiter tried to prove that I wrong and I don't know how meat should be taste like. My friend was waiting for me and I had no time to wait any longer and you never know what a surprise it's can be with next one. I'm sorry , but it's not how should businesses work. If you want to spoil your mood - go there. P.s they charge all price of the meal.
Sat outside for dinner on a mild evening. Lovely to people watch and soak up the atmosphere. Menus in English and French. Good range. Food average. I ordered moules with cheese (never had this combo). Moules were very very average (disappointed and didn't finish them). Hubby had a steak and frites which was a better choice. Staff were very helpful. Location always going to be a winner. if you don't go with high expectations of the food, you'll enjoy it, how could you not sitting on the beautiful square. Mains typically about 15 Euro.
C'est bon, c'est aussi bon marché, on ne peut pas faire plus au centre de Lille et le staff est sympa.The meals are excellent, the prices are not expensive at all, you can't be much more in the city center than on the "Grand Place" and the staff is nice and smiling.

Excellent accueil des 2 serveuses qui nous ont reçus avec beaucoup de chaleur et un grand sourire. Nous avons goûté les spécialités escargots au maroille, carbonnade et coq à la bière. Je recommande ce lieu sur la grande place qui n'est pas un piège à touristes
We found this place lovely to sit outside and have a few drinks, nice selection and the staff were friendly. We did eat here one day too which was nice, we had omelette and chips which was worried would be greasy but it really wasting. Very pleasant
When cold + rainy, sit upstairs because it's very cozy! The outside tables offer a great view of the Grand Place. They offer many traditional dishes and my favorite was the waterzoi!
We sat here enjoying our drinks and watched the world go by. It's in a good location - perfect for enjoying the afternoon sunshine. Service was a bit slow but it was v busy.
