Hotel wasn't the worse but there were a few stuff I would improve on, The rooms are not very sound isolated so in the night and early morning the next door neighbour coming in and going out was very loud, loud enough for me to wake up and think someone was trying to enter our room. The TV in the room was very small and placed high. The toilets and showers are basically Portable toilet installed in the room, reminded me of a campervan or festival toilets. The toilets flush takes 20 second and makes the same sound a train or airplane toilet would make quite an experience to witness.. One of our bed had sand on it when we arrived. The room was almost 200 euro as it was one of the last few room...
Have visited a couple of times for a drink and decided to try the food. Ordered the entrecote, dear me what a mistake. I have had some poor quality steaks over the years, but this one has to rate as the worst ever. Not sure what the cut I received was, but it most certainly wasn't entrecote. It was full of sinew and gristle and was almost impossible to cut, even with a steak knife. The chips were frozen and it came with a small piece if wilted lettuce and a couple of small slices of almost uncooked baguette. Service was not as friendly as it has been previously and to be honest I just wanted to get out of there asap. One to avoid in future as far as I am concerned.
Hello Valerie and Noel! Please forgive me for not contacting you sooner. My return to England has been very busy. I would like to thank you for your kindness during my short stay with you in Sangatte, especially my delicious meal on the Sunday night when everyone else was closed.
