we visited the domesday twice during our stay, partly because my brother had recommended it during a visit two years ago. a varied menu should please most tastes, but pizza seems to be the most popular dish. I tried the Norman, even after the waiter mentioned what sausage was made. While the wet was not for my taste, the pizza was correct, especially if you like thin crust. We returned another night for pasta, which was good but nothing spectacular. I've never served carbonara with attached raw egg yolk, which was different. We had dinner at the restaurant after being recommended by other family members who had lunched there the day before. our food was really delicious and as a family of 6 people, we all found good choices. our two teenage girls opted for pasta options they enjoyed, but with the fall they might have preferred to order a paste and another smaller dish because the portions were large enough. However, it is not really a critic because they wanted to leave room for pancakes after and they did not like to be able to finish the meal! Overall, there is a good choice of dishes and drinks and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Although it was rather quiet when we went to dinner, we were the farthest from all other customers. I found this strange, but not unpleasant. The food was good. Nothing extraordinary or fantastic. We both had pasta with a good sauce. There were too many pasta in the sauce but otherwise, okay. My friend suggested a beer in particular and it was great but I don't remember the name of it. Overall, the most expensive meal we have had and yet the least memorable.
This day I was able to satisfy my desire for pizza. I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to go back to Bayeux because I’ll go back there to continue discovering the menu! Very welcoming staff. I recommend this restaurant to gourmets and good pizza lovers. Thanks to the whole team. Christophe.
