Le Fameux Café du Lycée

We arrived to have a drink and couldn't get a table outside which was fine, we happely accepted a table inside. The people that welcome us was nice. After 10 minutes without seeing a waiter I walked up to the boss in the bar (2 meters). I asked for two beers, he saud I have to wait! He had not done anything for the last 10 minutes. I said that we have been waiting for 10 minutes and would like to order two beersnow. He answered, you have to wait or you walk. We walk out and picked a place where we were treated correct. I would advise you not to go tjer and if you do, stay away from the patron behind the bar.

Run this restaurant! The boss is very incorrect. The waitress does not carry a bottle of water, you have to buy the one that is already on the table and in addition it is hot !! The majority of dishes are not made home despite their very high prices. The decoration is very old and cleanliness is not at all at the rendezvous. I don't understand the good opinions on this restaurant, I've never seen worse! The price quality ratio is minable

We were lucky to find this place open on a Sunday in Gap. It seems nobody works in Sundays in France. The food was a bit limited, it seems still due to Covid restrictions that are not lifted yet. Raclette is not available and some others that requires a sharing table. The food was reasonable. The staff was very friendly to us, even coming and sitting with us after we finished our dinner. We really enjoyed it

Whilst the food isn't stunning this place is great value for money. The €12 menu includes steak which comes with chips and a salad. The service is very friendly and the décor cosy and warm. You won't go far wrong if eating out on a budget. We would definitely go back.

Nice and typical decoration. The fondue was average, but small quantity. The staff was very nice.
