Very convenient for our hotel; I had a huge salad paysan with chrevre chaud, Mrs M had pasta both hit the spot. Good aperitifs and a timorous half pitcher of rose to really push the boat out. Desserts less inspiring though. Colouring our positive view (though of course the restaurant can't claim credit) is that a considerate man at the next table asked if we minded his smoking, and when we thanked him but suggested he keep the smoke from blowing in our direction he did just that.
We took a salad not clean well mixing fresh and old bruised leave corn , artichoke , tuna is from can no dressing no fresh herbs very blend like hospital food nothing exciting, my son take chicken salad but was dry and bland also , service very basic only drop the food and never ask anything the waitress prefer to spend to talk to the bartender is not good restaurant not caring for quality is very sad !….. because is beautiful place
This is a very popular Italian restaurant. Very busy, creating a good atmosphere. The staff were happy and gave a warm welcome. A good selection of food accompanied by pasta or salad. No frites! Pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. My wife found her risotto disappointing. My steak was flame grilled BUT.... no frites! Desserts were fine. All in all an average meal with good service in a joyful atmosphere. Expensive for what we had.
Excellent service and food.Very friendly,made a dessert not on the menu for my husband and corrected a mistake on the bill with no arguments.Will certainly visit again when passing through Chalons.
