le globe - Table reservation

We were staying over the road at Chene Vert and fancied a drink before dinner. The tables and chairs outside the Globe hotel were in the sun, so we went for a drink. I ventured inside and found someone to take the order,then returned outside. We sat and watched some bikers across the street until our drinks arrived. We were surprised to be asked to pay on arrival,but the drinks were fine. We reordered and once again paid on delivery. We then went to our hotel for dinner, which was good, and after returned again to the Globe for coffee and Calva. Sitting inside this time,we realised the place was pretty run down. Excellent address in Cosne d’allier, home flat and varied with an unbeatable price report for the menu of the day at noon in the week. Important choice of local beers and wines. Do not hesitate to make a detour if you visit the city.
