After years without coming, what a surprise to see that this restaurant has gone from a family cuisine and tasty to industrial cuisine and without flavor ... By booking in advance with a unique menu, I thought we would have a cooked meal and not products already designed by large industrial firms dedicated to catering professionals! Very sincerely, I don't see where you can enjoy cooking when you pass the product all ready directly into the plate ... while the richness of the kitchen wouldn't be able to sublime the simplest products by working them... Moreover, is it not the own of a cook ...? In conclusion, I do not frankly recommend this restaurant except if we are a fan of industrial cant...
I'm a regular at this restaurant or I never miss going when I'm on my way to Auvergne. I have already commented on other restaurants but I have always forgotten the gourmet. Today I want to catch up with this omission because with a menu of the day at 13.7€ with varied dishes and excellent wine and coffee included an irreproachable service and for the price a trolley of cheese and towels in fabrics I think it would be a shame not to let you know. As for the menus of the veek end they are becoming a little more the restaurant it finds in Louroux de Bouble and not Montlucon.

This restaurant is located at the border of Allier and Puy de Dômes in a bocage and forest area. The welcome is nice. In the week the unique menu is copied and varied, but you can also choose from the menu. On Sunday noon the menus sought are quite affordable. The chef knows how to handle flavours and surprise our taste buds. A pleasant step for tourists or to organize family meals. Open every noon. Closed on Saturday

We chose the gourmet as a caterer for our wedding and we were delighted with this choice! Gourmet cuisine and quality products for the evening meal as well as for the brunch of the next day with the famous potato paste among others! Chef very attentive to our wishes and very convenient for stewardship. Quality service at a very reasonable price even for small budgets. A recommendation

Lost in a village in Bourbonnais, the Gourmand is a friendly little restaurant open to welcoming and simple lunch. Around a dish of the day a menu at 14 euros offers an entrance, a cheese tray or a white cheese, a dessert, a coffee and a quarter of wine. Family kitchen, pleasant and clear setting, good reception.
A very good culinary experience, and guests at the top, I recommend! Original dishes, real tasteful discoveries, in a quantity more than largely sufficient. Beware, not taking into account previous negative opinions, the owners have changed since July 2022.
