When you arrived at the end of a service without notice to a restaurent , you are always wondering how you are going to be received and what kind of food you might be offered !? Well the warm smile on my « do you still serve » and the « let me see what can still do. » was already making my worries collapse ... 2 choices offered then from the menu no less no more but two nice different dishes ... And the one I choose was splendid , a tartiflette doesn’t need a lot of skills to do but a good tartiflette needs proud and passions ... Bravo !
We arrived after 21.00 on a Tuesday evening out of season to be welcomed by Rashid . The restaurant was busy w here as most of the restaurants in La Clusaz and Le grand Bornand were closed. I ate a delicious Spinach and salmon lasagne and my husband had steak tartare and crispy delicious frites. A little gazpacho amuse buche was given to us first. All washed down with a good local wine. A very good meal at a reasonable price. The service was excellent . We will be back soon. Thank you Rashid. Sorry to miss Patrick. Flossy and Neil
Thones is a smallish village about 20 minutes from Annecy but has a lot of competition so the restaurants are generally much better for food than Annecy where anyone can serve up a pizza and rip off the tourists in the summer. If you are no good in Thones you go out of business pretty quickly. This place has good FOOD and the people are nice. If you want the best fish and chips in the region, go here. And the coffee is excellent too!
We found this place by chance, passing in front of it, and luckily we stopped!! The place is small and cozy, and the team is very very welcoming and attentive! The food is great, and the disches and very beautifully prepared!!!
