We visited the kaveri last week and had a great dinner. food was excellent, very authentic cuisine from the north of the inde (we ordered tikka chicken, paneer saag, tikka masala chicken, naan and halwa gajar.) the owners also suggested to try the cheese naan, a dish created by their family, and it certainly did not disappointed! It was served very hot with an extremely spicy chili sauce and was absolutely delicious! the owners were very warm and welcoming and ensured that all the guests were welcomed. it is obvious that they are passionate about what they do, and you can see their concern for detail in everything, of the quality of the food served to the elegant atmosphere of the restaurant...
My husband and I had dinner there about a week ago. Unfortunately, I can't agree with those who write that there is something special about this restaurant, for me it's just an average Indian place: the fish and seafood are frozen, the biryani (a spicy rice from the south of the inde) is sticking because the cook is probably from the north Indian/Pakistani origin. Soups are pretty good, though. honestly, the chic atmosphere of this restaurant (the doorman guaranteeing your car, refined paintings all around.) does not correspond to the level of coisine that is not low, of course, but is clearly medium. coming from bay area in california, I was sceptical at the beginning of the criticism, but pleasantly surprised. I ordered a kabab bara - a goat thigh barbecue that was an excellent aperitif, I also tried the rogan josh and the chapati (combo gr8), both were customized to the Indian taste (spicy - meat not too much and perfectly cooked.) I hoped a biryani but I was told from the outset that honest it was not made using the help of the the staff was attentive and welcoming as well. the owner, m. gupta, was courteous with all the guests and made sure they were present and well fed. I'll definitely go back next time.
I agree with one of the frank reviews given below that kaveri is better than the average Indian restaurants to betting and nothing special except the clean environment with beautiful interior decorations. only tandoori chicken seemed to have a taste higher than average. The biryani chicken was okay and a little better than other places. We ordered a dish of shrimp sauce and it was filled with frozen shrimp that had no taste and disappointing. the korma lamb was above the average and nothing to remember special, when we leave the table.

Okay menu types. There was vegetarian food twice. Non-vegetarian was slightly better (based on others' comments) the general atmosphere is very good. . . but the food is not quite up to the height. the leader is certainly not an authentic Indian. samosa had too much oil. the atmosphere of the restaurant is however very good and deserves a visit.
overall, I loved food. The restaurant is very nice and classy, but I think the food could be better. Of course, I've only tried two entries, so take my opinion with pins. I really didn't like the staff: unwelcome and antipathic. very disappointed with them and it's a shame. Therefore, my overall experience was poor.
I usually avoid Indian restaurants in france, because they are often very disappointing. The kaveri was a big surprise. the biryani I had was really excellent, scented and delicious. mixed grilling was excellent and Indian vegetables (spicnards, dahl and eggplants) were perfect. I'll definitely go back.
I liked the restaurant. positive points: food was good. I tried vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The breads were mellow, so I loved it, more, great desert. negative points: the serving was too small, so I will count this restaurant in the expensive category.
