We were travelling through the Vendée region after purchasing seafood for the festivities. We then were looking for a decent restaurant to have lunch when we came across The Louis XIII in Shallans. Our first impression was an extremely warm welcoming as we were shown to our table. We all ordered the Earth and Sea salad , we were not disappointed and even pleasantly surprised. The salad was copious, delicious and even adventurous as a fig ice-cream was served with it which was the perfect compliment to the smoked fillet of beef, duck and king prawns butterflies. We had booked for 8 (birthday) a three year old. Everything was perfect, a big thank you to the whole team, especially to the waitress who took care of our table. Very considerate and attentive to the needs of a little girl to whom the meal seemed a little long. In short, excellent cuisine and a welcome beyond our expectations, I highly recommend! Thank you again, you helped make this moment something unforgettable!
very good service, extremely smiling, present just when needed, the waitress even blagged with us. and food is excellent. The potency is more and more impressive, flambée à la table! We also tasted mussels and aperitive board. we were on the small but charming terrace, but there is a room that makes a little post relay under louis xiii with a huge stone fireplace, and there is even a private room for groups.
. Menus delivered to the table by the waitress. in one of them there was food. It started off badly. very long waiting time. and above all we had come for an event. once the menus are transferred. the waiting time for the main dishes much too long. at least an hour wait. to finish the very salty dishes and does not justify the high cost of the menus. disappointed with our lunch.
