Le Manoir du Rodoir

We arrived after a long car journey having pre booked. Nice discussion at Reception regarding dinner options as my wife is vegetaria. Given a good choice of options we explored the area on foot. Back at the hotel we changed for dinner and we taken into the dining room. The waitress arrived with a scrappy piece of paper and offered us an omelette. When asked why we couldn't choose from the menu we had seen previously we were told there was no one to cook. So, we had now been there approx. 2 hours and no one had mentioned that the kitchen was effectively closed. After a rather heated discussion with the "manager" we were offered a scrappy salad.Overall a ghastly experience and so easily avoide...

Dînant en soirée étape, je demeure déçu du repas qui ne correspondait pas à mes attentes. Après une bonne entrée (salade de gésiers de canard), le plat, une souris d'agneau était assez banale et de peu d'intérêt. Quant au tiramisu, ici aussi une déception (belle crème, mais les cerises pas extraordinaire). De simples serviettes en papier m'ont laissé dubitatif, j'espérais mieux vu le standing de l'hôtel. Un très Bordeaux au verre (un peu cher quand même) rattrape l'ensemble. Le petit déjeuner, en revanche, était excellent : fourni, copieux, varié (pain, beurre, confiture, jambon de pays, fromage, salade, jus de fruit, thé, etc.) et lui, mérite son prix.

Gegessen wird im Erdgeschosses eines gut erhaltenen Herrenhauses, dessen Inneneinrichtung gemütlich und dennoch sehr gediegen gestaltet ist. Die Bedieung ist freundlich und das Essen gut. EIne breite Weinkarte auch mit Offenweinen runden das Ganze ab. Wer im Hotel übernachtet ist hier goldrichtig.

2 nuits passées au Manoir du Rodoir pour un déplacement professionnel, séjour idéal. La chambre très propre et la literie très confortable. J'ai testé le petit déjeuner, copieux et bons produits. J'y ai dîné 2 soirs, très bonne formule avec des plats faits maison. J'y retournerai volontiers.
