As a family who values gastronomy, Le Maquis has been our most pleasant surprise on Corsica so far. We ordered the Corsican menu (28 EUR for three dishes). The dishes were not only exceptionally beautifully arranged for a restaurant in this price range (see photos from other guests), it was also very well seasoned and well tasting. As our starter we had a very good fish soup (the kids' favorite) and an extremely good salad with olives, tomatoes, cheese and ham. Au niveau des plats, rien à redire. Le chef en cuisine maîtrise son domaine. Un civet de sanglier exceptionnel, un fondant au chocolat du tonnerre, un vin local de très bonne qualité. Concernant le service, le jeune homme est super souriant et attentif. Par contre l 'accueil est assez froid par la maîtresse de maison. On ne ressent vraiment pas de l 'enthousiasme envers la clientèle. Un sourire et un bienvenu dans notre établissement ne coûtent rien ! L 'addition elle, est assez salée. Compter 25 euros pour le plat principal, une trentaine d 'euros pour une bouteille de vin et une quinzaine d 'euros pour le dessert. Au total 100 euros à deux... Difficile à digérer, c 'est les vacances....
Because I am a little nostalgic of the logs, I immediately enjoyed the tables traditionally erected in this charming restaurant on the heights of Porto-Ota. the dominant viewpoint on the sea giving a better negligible, let’s go to the essentials: it’s good, well worked. service is impeccable, quality local wine and, châtaigne on the cake, the playlist soul jazz ultra appreciable. only dish: a delicious cheese tank offered in frugal quantity for a price that is not. A nice address to remember here.
Le restaurant se trouvait près de l'hôtel. La salle était lumineuse avec une jolie vue. Le repas excellent. Par contre, attention au personnel (2 hommes) qui disent aux clients de notre groupe que l'apéritif est compris dans le prix ce qui n'était pas vrai et le prix payé était différent du nôtre pour la même boisson. Dommage cette arnaque qui gâche la réputation de ce restaurant.

Thankfully we had booked. recommended by our hotel bella vista. really delicious and hearty dishes. I recommend the lamb cruncher (a slaughter,) the boar cap. prices are pretty high, but it's worth it. a shame that it is at night because the view of the valley must be magnificent from the terrace. a little fun mixed with geckos that chased insects on the beams.
A REAL cook... And his very welcoming wife in the dining room, who spoke to us about their job with passion. We had the chance to go there outside the tourist season, which allowed us a very interesting exchange. A table to recommend without hesitation.
Arrived tonight late, we were very pleasantly welcomed in a beautiful setting and the dishes are as good as beautiful and that is little to say. an address to keep.
Coming out of season to visit the island of beauty, we discovered this restaurant which offers local and ultra generous cuisine!!
