Just as we sat down to our table I got one of those phone calls you never want to get and as I reentered the restaurant area I wondered how on earth I would find an appetite on our last night. The menu allows 4-5...choices per course and I am starting to appreciate this type of establishment more and more. It inspires confidence that less should be more. I chose terrine de fois gras followed by peppered steak, which I fancied because I had spied the wood burning oven. Eating with a chef he pronounced the fois gras “ out if this world” and the owner proudly informed us it is made by her son. Had a lovely evening at Le Refuge. We weren’t sure heading into the dinner as there are some very divisive reviews from a year or so back, but could not resist trying it due to the cozy atmosphere. And we’re so glad we did as we couldn’t have been happier with our meal. The wine, salad and pizza (we had the vegetarian which was so lovely) was wonderful. Staff were super nice as well. The pizza is more like a flat bread which was really nice let the toppings shine. Other diners seemed thrilled with the fondue will return for that!
Quick and efficient booking! We booked at the last moment in the middle of the season and the staff is moved to find us a place. It's always good to see that. For the service and quality of the dishes, we were pleasantly surprised! A rather correct price quality ratio for an entry, dish, dessert. We'll be back!
We found this place by accident. We enjoyed it so much, we made reservations to return in two days. The fondue was superb and my wife’s cheeseburger was phenomenal. Exceeded our expectations. We found the staff to be friendly and attentive and our waitress spoke excellent English. Very positive experience.

As a celiac I fought in restaurants, but the staff here could not have been more friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious and I didn't feel I was missing. You need to book them are very popular but I would definitely recommend... especially the Ribeye Steak and Amuse Bouche
Nice food, but very expensive for what it is. Devilled eggs were tasty but only 3 half eggs for €19. The fondue was alright and the cheesecake was decent. But the ‘Veggie’ starter salad was pretty bland (raw cauliflower, cold cooked pumpkin, greens and walnuts) for the price of €17.
