On a Wednesday evening, not knowing the popularity of this restaurant we booked in advance for a table of 6; unfortunately this was not necessary as there was only 1 other couple dining so it lacked atmosphere. This however was more than compensated by the...attentiveness of the staff, considering we were an English family with very little command of the French language, who went out of there way to help us. The specials menu was inventive and the food was excellent. The only reason I have given it 4 stars is due to the lack of atmosphere.
le must not have much competition in this area, but it sets a high standard. we were here on a Tuesday night and yet it was busy. the service could not be failed and the an amazing waitress managed practically alll. we went for the set menu that we both enjoyed, we chose various elements for each cursor. pizzas were eaten by a few people and, after the excellent garlic bread/pizza we unexpectedly got our appetizers, they would be very good. half the bottle bordeaux we had was unnecessary to say more than reasonable.
beautiful place for a lunch break, but be there early as they close at 2 o'clock. fois gras was amazing, pizzas were fantastic and the beer is cold! we had a group of 12 for lunch and the staff made a fantastic job and were...incredible friendly. the rear terrace is quite shaded by sun umbrellas. they would definitely recommend in this area of france.
I drive london to paris with groups and I often use this place for lunch with my customers, as it doesn't seem that it is always good to eat. the price is good and the service is excellent. I'll be back in juli. bicycle friendly...with a safe place to store bikes around the back. are also large. highly recommended when they read this, they visit it.
