We were looking forward to eating at this Logis as we usually find that anywhere rated with 3 casseroles is extremely good. The restaurant is very attractive and comfortable and the service was attentive. The chef is obviously trying to modernise traditional Normandy dishes and...this seems to lead to some unusual combinations. Foie Gras was paired with cheesecake it was very pleasant but did not seem to be a good flavour mix it also had sundried tomatoes on the plate. Tornedos of duck (not sure why its not called magret) was almost too tough to eat despite being rare which was disappointing. However the desserts were absolutely super. We booked to have our wedding anniversary dinner at this restaurant whilst staying at another hotel. Unbeknownst to me, my husband contacted the restaurant and organised several surprises. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They decorated the table and even created a special dessert...for us. Our three month old baby was a little unsettled that evening, but everyone was really nice about it. The food was absolutely delicious and extremely well presented. My salmon gravlax arrived in a puff of smoke : . The Chef created a surprise dessert for us, which was a work of art on a huge silver platter. A wonderful ending to a fabulous evening!
As a local resident bagnoles is an easy place to go for a wide choice of eateries given its tourist raisin d'etre. We have eaten at Le normandie on 6 to 8 occasions over the last 2 yrs and it never disappoints. It is honest...cuisine based around solid french cooking principles using fresh ingredients treated respectfully to give the best flavour but served with some flair. Front of house are smooth and efficient and the maitre d' speaks excellent English. The wine list is short but balanced well priced and good quality. The design of the restaurant and outside dining area is modern and comfortable. It is in the top 5 destinations in town.
we have eaten in many of the restaurants in bagnoles but have never been here. it was very quiet, but maybe this was because we were there early on the week night. we could not mistake the service that was friendly and efficient. the menu was...different and all the dishes we had were very good. we thought that the meal was probably quite expensive, but felt that the extras we had, ie wein and other drinks significantly increased the total price. all in all a pleasant experience and one that we will eventually repeat in the future.

we stayed in the hotel and ate here at the first night (we had the accommodation and dinner in the frame of an inclusive package). the quality of eating was excellent. there was no great choice, but there was enough choice. the. meal times were beautifully presented and the staff was very attentive. my only criticism at the restaurant was that there was really no atmosphere, only a collection of couples eating their meals. but on the other side I would not have been happy if there were many loud background music, etc.
we visited around 19 o'clock on Thursday night and first we were the only diners. the restaurant was nicely decorated and had a good feeling about it. we were expected to have a very pleasant man who didn't catch his name. English he explained the menu and the drinks and was very helpful. my wife and I had 3 courses each and enjoyed an excellent meal. will come back when we get the chance.
we had lunch here and were all alone in the large dining room for the whole meal, which was slightly uncomfortable. everything was in order, good traditional selection of eating and attentive service, but there was no need for anything more, we also found it...a bit overpriced for the quality of food. so everything in all is slightly disappointed, but we still enjoyed our meal.
I had a very nice dinner here Le Normandie. I took the 'menu Gourmand ' which offers excellent price-quality. Ingredients are top notch and cooked with attention, presentation is quite modern for a rather old fashioned looking restaurant. I remember the sea brass and the...perfect crème brulée. Good job!
