My friend and I visited Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast on Sunday morning. We knew the brand as there are some of these restaurants in London, so we thought we would let them go. The staff was very nice and friendly and they spoke English. The food was good and the menu was clearly marked with vegetarian vegan options. The main option to improve would be to add more vegan options that would definitely bring more customers. Positive experience overall and will definitely return.
Je me suis dit que j'allais redonner une chance apres une année j'y retourne.rien n'a changé service absolument deplorable. serveuse pas agréable. 15 minutes pour prendre une commande. Ensuite elle m'amene ma commande...sans celle de mon mari. donc j'avais fini de manger quand la sienne est arrivée!!!je ne comprends pas il n' y a pas l'air d'avoir un gérant c'est vraiment déplorable. c'est fini nous y mettrons plus les pieds!!
In dit resturant zijn we 2 keer geweest. Het ligt tegenover het station en praktisch naast de ingang van de metro. Het is een Bio restaurant. Je zit aan houten tafeltjes met rechte houten stoelen. Wij hebben er ontbeten. bijna €16 voor 4 boterhammetjes, verse jus (volgens mij niet vers) en jam. Ook een hete drank naar keuze. De bediening was zeer efficiënt en goed. Je kan gewoon met je eigen bankpas betalen.
Mussten 20 Minuten am Tisch warten, bis die Bestellung aufgegeben werden konnte. Bemitleidenswerte Serviceangestellte war zwar alleine, dies rechtfertigt den schwachen Auftritt nicht! Das Bestellte wurde auch nicht gleichzeitig geliefert, die Eier durch gekocht und erst 15Min nachdem die ersten bereits ihr Frühstück essen konnten aufgetischt. This is one of the smallest Pain Quotidien I have ever been to, but that is not a bad thing. It sites right next to the Hotel Continental opposite the main entrance to the station, so is ideally placed for a snack or coffee when coming to Lausanne for work for example. Closes way too early in my humble opinion - so it is not any good for dinner or evening (19h00 closing weekdays)
I don't know about the rest, but the piece of apple pie was overcooked, sugary and burnt under. A really bad deal for a hefty price which had made me expect something special. Despite the rather friendly service, the place was so noisy that I literally had to run away from there not to wake my baby. Not my daily bread.
Excellent find right across the street from Lausanne Gare (train station). Very unique, yummy gluten free bread!! So great to finally have a sandwich after a week of traveling. All ingredients used are organic, very fresh. Will plan to eat breakfast again there tomorrow.

Face à la gare de Lausanne, n'hésitez pas à faire une pause à la version lausanoise du Pain Quotidien. Un excellent accueil, des plats du jour inventifs, un très bon choix de thé. Certes le service est un peu long, mais qu'importe...
