Been to Mougins before but never visited Le Petit Provencal. What a mistake. Next time we go we shall visit again and perhaps even again. Do not be put off by its location - basically it is a car park! We enjoyed a fabulous meal, the sun was shining and the food, service and wine was fantastic value for money. The octopus salad was to die for and the lamb chops were cooked to perfection. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her sea bass and, most unusually for us, we both tucked in to a scrummy dessert. One tip do not bother to order a bottle of wine - nothing wrong with it - just order a pichet. What a great afternoon. We will be back !

Although the name suggests provencal cuisine, this restaurant was Italian cuisine. Located on the back side of the building and down some stairs from the main street, it had a very cozy feel to it. Being a cool evening, we sat inside. Many restaurants in Provence provide you with an amuse bouche of olive tapenade on French bread and this one was no exception. It whetted our appetite for a creamy soup and a caesar salad as first course followed by Veal Milanese and Gnocchis. Everything was well prepared, with good flavor. We skipped dessert. With aperativs, and wine the bill came to 81 euros.

This restaurant was recommended by our resort in Mougins. Although we struggled with the menu a bit as it was all in French, with the help of the waiter we managed to order. I had grilled salmon which was lovely and my husband had the burger which came with an egg on the top, which again he said was delicious. We both had desserts, creme brûlée and a meringue & creme anglaise which were both excellent. The restaurant has an outside area which is great to sit out on and plenty of parking if needed.

We were recommended by people we met to go there for my Birthday. What a mistake. We had the Plat de jour, wine and Desert. The Fish was the worst we have ever had and the meat was better. On hindsight we should have sent the food back but we had been out all day and were really hungry. The waiter seemed embarrassed by what he presented to us.Should you eat there do not be afraid of refusing the food. Book a table now

This little out of the way restaurant can barely be seen from the street, but make it your business to find it and eat there. My wife had pizza and I ordered ravioli. My dish was really good but hers was extraordinary. The waiter didn't speak much English and I didn't speak much French but together we made it work. They even had Coke Zero. Great dinner without breaking the bank.

Having visited this restaurant two years ago when we were last staying in Mougins, we were delighted to find Le Petit Provençal in even better shape than when we were last here. The pizza's are great tasting and excellent value and the desserts are very tasty. The service was also very friendly and, unlike a review from last year, very welcoming to a couple of Brits!

Park right outside the front door, eat great food with the locals - and then be pleasantly surprised by how reasonable it is. Nice choice of fish but we go for the gourmet burger which is a feast in itself with melted cheese, bacon, tomato and a giant burger of freshly ground beef - complete with a fried egg on top. Also recommend the pizzas.

If you are undecided about Brexit. Then sample the service in this place. If you are not French don't expect to get the level of service expected by the locals. Our guy did his level best in ignoring us down to the level of not offering us the free appetiser offered to all the locals as son as they arrived. Ignorant Sod. Book a table now
