This place is popular with local people, which is always a good sign. Its name derives from the large ancient plane tree outside, which can be seen in old photos of the town. It is run by three men who are very friendly and relaxed. The decor is reminiscent of a Swiss mountain restaurant, with the addition of artworks in the manner of Paul Klee. We had the formule du jour, with a delicious salad, followed by salmon steaks and creme catalane, washed down with a jug of rose wine.
