We stopped for a quick lunch when passing through Saintes. It ended up not being quick at all due to the very slow poor service. We were basically ignored unless we waved the wait staff down. To make matters worse there was literally a rock...in my salad the size of dice! When we informed the waitress she barely apologized and there was no further acknowledgment. The food was ok for the type of restaurant it is and the price was average.
this bar restaurant needs new owners and a fresh menu. the service was not bad at three places, but not good, the coffee was lukewarm as it stood, but the croissants and fresh were excellent. that was a moderately inexpensive breakfast menu that was only pampered by the lack of attention of the staff. good place, lots of go, but not many customers

had the best lamb I ever had, and I had a baptism all over the world. that was worth 5 plus. but the service was awfully slow and was worth 3 stars. I had to wait over five minutes to get a beer and almost 10 minutes to get the leak. finally took the money inside to eliminate further waiting time. but the lamb was great. Book a table now
Very pleasant surprise, the meal was delicious and the staff very pleasant. Small downside, the bottom is more cocooning than the floor where we were but it was pleasant all the same Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Right in the centre of Saintes, this restaurant/bar/cafe is very good value, clean and efficient. They do a particularly good range of burgers!
