there are many, many restaurants that keep the main street of bandol. Do not just stop somewhere on the way to 28 allee alfred vivien! le poisson d’argent is exceptional, the meal times are exquisite and the wine list is perfect. we are greeted and sitting by the friendly grantin or the managerin, which presents an amuse bouche of pure tomaten. it is difficult to imagine fresher, tactical tomato! the fresh fishing was presented on a huge plate and was carefully and clearly described. we decided to use the dourade, a delicate white fish, served with a delicious sweet potato route and grilled tomato. our meat lover enjoyed a very delicate filet, accompanied by potato gratin and grilled tomaten...
This upmarket restaurant is located at the Western end of Bandol's promenade and restaurant mile, set in an elegant glass pavillion overlooking the harbour. The restaurant is specialized in freshest fish and seafood, and the wine list includes a wide range of local and regional...wines from Bandol and Cassis. For starters we had oysters, and for jour mains we shared a grilled pageot, kind of a dorade, which was part of the catch of the day presented by the owner when we arrived. Wonderfully done and seasoned with herbs including fennel! Prices are at the higher end of the range but the dinner was definitely worth it.
In 10 years of being in Bandol we found it one of the most overpriced restaurants and lacking in quantity food. We left without having a desert because we had already paid them too much. A watery fish soup, but worst of all a meal...that was called crab but was a vol au vent filled with two small pieces of crab and masses of leeks and crab sticks. Even the waitress describing it as a pasta was misled as these were coloured crab sticks. I can buy these ingredients for pence in England but wouldn’t because my children deserve better. Thank goodness we didn’t have them with us, they would have been disappointed.

Went here based on reviews. Booked a table. Arrived and they had no records of the reservation even though I showed them the email confirmation. Staff were unfriendly and miserable. Placed us on a table by the road. Ordered sea Bass for two. Was undercooked...and not pleasant. Vegetables massively over cooked. Staff did not ask how the food was. Avoid this place.
Great fish restaurant in a glass box on the port. The oysters, foie gras and fresh loup for 3 cooked in salt was very good as was the menu enfants beef. Friendly staff and good English spoken. Nice wine list and will definitely go back...when next in Bandol. Not cheap but then that is not expected for good restaurants in the area.
we enjoyed a business dinner for 7 in the outdoor dining area. the room was beautifully appointed and we all could see the sea right next to us. the service was fast and very courteous as they prepared special items for me as a vegan....They even called our taxi back to bring us back to the hotel.
the dining room is opposite the restaurant, and it makes them wonder how it works when the city is busy with hordes of tourist. excellent fish soup and grilled fish. we really have the fresh products and the good advice from restaurant owners. there is a nice selection of local weeps to explore!

we were there with a group of 12, divided into two six. we have dined closer to the beach and were well looked around. fresh fish was excellent if not cheap. some dishes under the season, but a good time had by al.
For me the best restaurant in town from what we tried! Absolutely friendly and professional service, good quality kids menu. We tried fish in salt and it was amazing. Good job guys
