Le Ponton is located on the Boulevard Roger Letelie in Tremblade, a visit to which is a must for lovers of seafood visiting the area, it comprises a stretch of creek with huts and landing stages for the oyster boats and dozens of restaurants from food shacks to higher end eateries. Of those we tried Le ponton was our favourite, the small separate bar was a great place to relax with a drink and decide if, what, where and when you wanted to eat. The oysters and moules were fabulous, the gallettes, steak and crepes all very good too, but the place was made by the very friendly and welcoming staff and topped off by the pontoon location over the water. great oysters and moules. galettes also very good. lovely to sit over the water. Service quite variable, but never unfriendly. Can be very busy, possibly contributing to the above. Ate here several times lunch and dinner.

This a juwel situated along the harbour where we enjoyed smoked salmon, fresh oysters and cooked mussels served by friendly people. No stars but high quality food in an authentic environment.What do you want more?

Superb oysters really meaty and fresh. Big and full of flavour and keenly priced Decent tartiflette and frites, good Green salad shame the crevettes weren’t fresh though. Good house wine
