Staying locally so tried this out on a Tuesday night. Always a gamble eating out in France being a vegetarian. A quick recce confirmed chef could cook something up and boy did he perform A pleasant dining area and ambiance with the right level of...attentive service. The vegetarian from amuse bouche to the main was an explosion of taste and techniques and simply the best I've ever had here or in the UK. My wife's trout and beef main course looked fantastic and were reported to be excellent. Desserts were spot on to. And the wine! a euro bottle of Madiran.A simply stunning wine, complex, dark, malty, almost like an English dark ale, the best I've ever tasted beating our Margaux I'm afraid. We...

We gave it a go in June with high hopes for the newly opened local restaurant and sadly found it lacking. minuscule portions, starters ok, main course had to send back as over cooked and lacking in flavour, dessert ok. messed up the table as...we had ordered outside on the terrace and they put us inside but rectified that by putting an extra table on the terrace. had given them a big bunch of flowers for the table as it was our wedding anniversary, also forgotten. selection of wine madiran, madiran or madiran and no rose. Hope things have changed but certainly not worth the price when we visited in June, great shame.

We went to the restaurant as we were woundering what the « new version » of the restaurant Le Prieure would be like ... It was amazingly creative (both in terms of taste and in terms of layout), tasty, astonishing but still very French. Worth going there...for sure, as a romantic dinner (especially if you have the chance like us to enjoy a beautifull sun set on the terrasse) or just as a great souvenir. Decoration is lovely and refurbished with class. Last, waiters are more than friendly, definitely keen to ensure you will enjoy your dinner, and more than welcoming. Go for the Michelin star !

After weeks in France we decided to splash out and spend more than usual on a special night out. Expectations were high because the decor is great. The presentation of the food was spectacular but sadly the taste was bland and servings were tiny....Ok if you want to go home hungry. The dessert was OK but found the duck tough and the turnip was the dominant part of the meal. Staff were pleasant but there were way more staff than customers.
