After searching on line we decided to try this restaurant and liked it so much that I dined there with my son 2 consecutive evenings because the first had hit the spot with us. I had the 22 Euro menu and my son, the 34 Euro menu each evening choosing some different items on the 2 evenings. All was delicious and simple beautifully cooked and presented. The waitress was a delight. We both liked the down to earth feel along with the very warm welcome. The area is expensive generally but we felt that this was good value and we noted that a number of French families were dining there (with well behaved children compared to many English equivalents! usually a good sign when the locals deem somewhe...

Had high hopes since the place looked nice initially, the waitress when she brought my appetizer of fresh shrimp with mayonnaise hit both my water and wine glasses spilling almost all of it...though she apologized profusely, no replacement for the wine spilt was offered (though the owner when I was paying actually took it into account). I ordered the scallops and monkfish skillet as my main (21 euros)...it was generous and cooked in garlic butter but served with fairly tasteless unseasoned boiled vegetables. What was surprising however was the wait between ordering and being served as well as between the finishing the appetizer and being served the main course. Granted they are just opening...

We dropped in passing through on a lovely sunny day and the staff were welcoming from the instant we stepped in, being quick and friendly throughout even though we arrived in the latter half of the lunch period My companion had the, essentially raw, salmon starter followed by Merlu, whereas I had the grilled Gambas, followed by steak frites . Mean was good but the fish were the highlights. All part of the 3 course set menu for EUR 19. A pleasant good value Alsace Reisling, free filtered water and bread and two tasty coffees to finish. Given it was September and the whole place was winding down it was all a great pleasure on our first visit to Cap Ferret

We went as a family the restaurant looks simple, and the terrace is nice despite being close to the road . Great service but the best is on the plates one of the most amazing goods we had during our holidays mussels were creamy and tasty, scallops were cooked to perfection , beef and morilles were scrumptious . Absolutely AMAZING ! You need to go !
