Coming back from Cannes to Mougins Village we took a wrong turning and got lost. Took a road to nowhere and ended up in a surprising little place high up in the hills, with breathtaking views. A fabulous little Village, the Restaurant card reads, Place du Commandant Lamy, so I presume thats where we were. We stopped off and called to the Au Rendez-vous Bistro to ask Directions. The Lady owner took time to direct us back on the right road, and she was so helpful and friendly that we decided to stay for lunch.The Lunch of Parma Ham Salad was so great. This was the first of 4 restaurants we tried during our stay in Mougins. It was hard to choose between them all. We managed to get a nice table here one Wednesday night. The atmosphere was good and the staff were efficient and friendly. We went for the 3 course set menu for 28E. This changes but I enjoyed Guinea fowl and my partner had the local beef stew (I can't remember the name of) for the main course. Portions were not excessive but quality and quantity was just right for our requirements. The sweet was wonderful and the wine was also excellent. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive.
My wife and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary whilst on holidayThe location of the establishment is extremely attractive , being situated at the entrance to the old village. Our dining experience was superb, ranging from a quality meal (at very reasonable cost in our opinion,especially giving the location of the restaurant ). The waiting staff were extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful whilst being mindful not to intrude)To summarise , anyone wishing to experience a quality dining experience in every respect should visit here, we will definitely be returning.
We decided to have an anniversary meal here and reserved a table, although this isn't always necessary. We were placed at the front of the terrace looking into the quaint narrow square towards the centre of the old Mougins village. We had guinea fowl and duck for mains, and two traditional desserts. The service was pretty efficient and friendly. It was a lovely evening with tasty French cuisine in a beautiful quaint setting. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Mougins on two separate occasions 18 months apart. On the first trip we had 3 grandchildren with us; on the second my brother and sister in law. This restaurant has a relaxed friendly atmosphere and the food is excellent. So good that the grandchildren only wanted to eat there and on our latest trip we went there 4 times. Would strongly recommend this reasonably prices establishment.
What a lovely family meal out. Have been here a few years now and the staff and food have always been lovely. Would recommend for any predominantly English families as they speak and welcome English with pleasure. A lovely meal to top off a visit to Mougins
We visited here as a family of 6 and everybody had a great relaxed time. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Highlights : steak, chocolate mousse and amazing French fries. Clean plates and broad smiles all round.
We were really fast in our lunch in Mugins.We were not dissapointed with the food the service and the quality.Really good choice
